Please tell us a little about how Cartruckvan Sdn Bhd (CTV) began?
CTV has been in business for more than 30 years when my father, Captain Lee, founded the company as a used car dealer. We slowly changed our products from used car to selling lorry and we also offer truck body building to our customers. Today, you can find us at 3 separate locations around Batu Caves area, K.L.
What type of trucks do you sell in your company?
We have close to 300 units of trucks, new, used, rebuild, in our inventory and we focus in the Light and Medium Duty trucks with capacity of not more than 27,000kg. Due to the large inventory that we have, we are proud to say that our customers are spoil for choice when they are looking for a truck. We have a few hot selling body applications, example: wooden cargo, box truck, Tipper, food truck, and also Arm-roll (RORO), that we sell most of the time, but as we are a truck body builder ourselves, we are able to fulfill the body requirements of our customers by modifying the body accordingly should you need.
Tell us what's the biggest challenges you face in your business and how do you overcome it?
Our business depends a lot on the overall economy performance. We see that the economy is shrinking over the years and buying power has subsequently gotten smaller too. Banks are having a strict loan requirement which makes it difficult for customers to get their loans approved. We understand the difficulties that our customers faced, therefore, we try to work with all banks and credit companies to provide different financing options for them. We also make sure we are delivering top-quality trucks and after-sales services to our customers so that they would have minimal downtime due to mechanical breakdowns.
What brands of truck do you sell in your company?
We carry all the popular Japanese brands like #Hino, #Isuzu, #MitsubishiFuso, #UDTrucks, #Nissan, #Toyota, and brands like #Hicom & #Inokom for our customers to choose. These are the brands that the market prefer because of its quality.
What other services do you offer beside selling trucks?
Other than selling trucks and truck body building, we also offer #insurance services, assistance in dealing with the authorities, e.g. #JPJ, #Puspakom, #APAD services, auto parts supply and maintenance and servicing. We strive to offer all truck related services under one roof, saves time and money for our customers.
